As the recipient of the 2024 Simon-Pierre Noël Day First Prize, Léa Kaufmann was invited to present her research at the Université Sherbrooke Symposium. She gave a presentation on "[The] Use of gene expression profiles to predict the biological activity of chemical compounds in cancer cells" in addition to attending various student presentations.
Following the submission of his master’s thesis, Nicolas Jacquin continues his studies in the Lemieux Laboratory and begins a doctoral thesis! His thesis, entitled Transcriptomics by k-mers through the adaptation of factored vector representations and the identification of genomic contexts, is now available in the Papyrus system of UdeM.

The conference was held this year in Montreal, and several members of the Laboratory and the Bioinformatics Platform participated.
